X-UMED started as a drunken idea at a bar between Lisa and her childhood best friend. The began talking about a conspiracy theory where they didn’t realize they were both on opposite sides of the spectrum with that. One believed the earth is flat, one believed the earth is round (No, Lisa is not a flat earther).

The conversation kind of went:

“Ok, we have great conversations about this, we’re funny as hell, we should start a podcast together!”

“We should drink while we do it and tie in the drink to the episode”

“Great idea, lets do it, we have so many dark things we can talk about!”

Instead of Lisa’s childhood friend being a co-host due to busy schedule, her sister Samantha was nominated as cohost instead of guest host.

X-UMED didn’t start as the name, we had an incredible journey finding names that really didn’t make any sense or were already taken.

Lisa and Samantha are sisters who live in different states. X-UMED helps keep them closer as something to do together.  We both love dark history and anything that has yet to be proven true or false.  For the podcast, we have vowed to never discuss religion or politics unless the religion or politics is related to the episode in a historical or dark history manner.
