Haunted Bridges

Tower Bridge/Dead Mans Hole

Constructed 1894 | London Dead Man’s Hole actually refers to a mortuary that at one time was housed beneath the north tower of the bridge.

As you’ll probably be aware, the Thames is tidal, and for one reason or another, corpses that found their way in to the river; either suicide, by accident or dumped, those executed at the Tower of London, only a stone’s throw away, were also transferred to Dead Man’s Hole.

Origins of Bloody Mary

What is Bloody Mary?

The participant enters a darkened room with a lit candle. She or he looks into a mirror while chanting Bloody Mary's name or a phrase a specific number of times. If the ritual is performed correctly, Bloody Mary might either appear in the mirror, reach out of the mirror and scratch the participant's face, or be released from the afterlife to haunt him or her forever.

Ohio Witch Craft Trials

Fun Fact!

OhioOhio wasn’t “officially” admitted to the United States until Aug. 7, 1953.  Congress never took a formal vote to admit Ohio as a state back in 1803.  Due to an oversight, Ohio’s statehood became official retroactively in 1953 when the United States Congress passed a resolution.
